Over
the course of 30 releases, Mixmag Live has crossed genres and broken
boundries, acurately spanning a decade of dance. It is with this experience
behind us that we move onto our latest and most hotly anticipated
series to date: '7 Live'. In May of 1999, DMC took another pioneering
step in the world of music oublishing by launching Britains first
ever weekly dance music magazine, entitled 7. In its short life 7
is already regarded as the leading light in dance music, both by industry
figures and dance music fanatics alike. On the back of this success,
'7 Live' will pick up from where its big brother left off and continue
to release high quality DJ Mix compilations. '7 Live' will be synonymous
with the best in cuttin edge dance music and club culture. |

It
was the summer of 94 that United DJs of America came to be. The
USA - spiritual home of house music - had some of the greatest DJs
on earth. After so many great nights out witnessing what Americans
had to offer, we wanted a slice of that to take home and keep for
the years to come. This series is a tribute to the DJs that took
us on those musical journeys that left us clapping for more in the
small hours, believing nothing was more sacred than Saturday night.
We've
shown our roots and we're here to stay. Be it new blood or big names,
United DJs of America will bring them to you. The only connection
will be that they're all great DJs playing innovative and imaginable
sets for the muic discerning afficcionado.

Live burst into life in 1991, Dave Seaman & Carl Cox laid down
the foundations and put together two sparkling mixes for the first
volume. The people that brought that first tape were also buying a
peice of history. It was the worlds first ever legal DJ mix compilation
and like subsequent volumes of Mixmag Live since : it rocked! |
